Xeloda 150mg Tablets: Sharing Experiences and Tips for Managing Side Effects
I recently started taking Xeloda 150mg tablets as part of my breast cancer treatment. I've heard a mix of stories about the side effects, and I'm curious to hear from others who have been on this medication. What kinds of side effects have you experienced, and how have you managed them? Any tips or tricks for dealing with the more challenging symptoms would be greatly appreciated! Also, has anyone found that the common side effects like diarrhea and nausea tend to improve over time? I'm hoping to hear some success stories to keep my spirits up during this journey.

Sorry to hear about your struggles. I never had serious issues with the pill. I didn't get hair loss — my nails got a little tender. Plus, the doc prescribed some meds for nausea when I asked. I've seen a lot of people worrying about hair in forums. It's not like chemo from the iv bag, but it's still tough. Good luck to you.
If you're worried about side effects, talk to your doctor. Just know that everyone is different, and you might not experience what others have. Also, Xeloda is a tough pill to take but you are tougher!
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Keep updating us on your progress if you can. I’m on my third round of Xeloda and the diarrhea has been pretty intense. I've been using over-the-counter meds and drinking lots of fluids, which seems to help. Also, a low-fiber diet has been recommended by my doctor. Hope this helps. Good luck!
I had a lot of nausea and vomiting at first, but my doctor recommended taking the medication with food and it helped a ton. Also, ginger tea and anti-nausea meds have been lifesavers. Stay strong, you got this!
I've found that drinking lots of water and avoiding caffeine helps with the diarrhea. Also, eating smaller, more frequent meals has made a big difference for me. Hope this helps! You got this!
I've been on Xeloda for almost a year. The first few months were rough, but it's gotten much easier. I just take it easy on myself, and rest when I need to. It's worth it to get through the rough days.
I had a pretty intense allergic reaction to the pills. It's rare, but it's worth knowing about. I changed meds, and my oncologist said it's not unusual. Shoutout to my doc. Just be on the lookout, and if something seems off, it probably is.
Be prepared for the hand-foot syndrome – that was the worst for me. Keeping my hands and feet moisturized and wearing gloves when I can really helps. Also, staying cool and avoiding tight shoes or socks. Fingers and toes crossed for you!
I've been on Xeloda for a few months now, and the fatigue has been the hardest part for me. I've found that taking naps during the day helps a lot, and I try to stay hydrated as much as possible. It sucks, but it's worth it if it helps fight the cancer. Hang in there!
My doctor recommended taking the pills with food, and the nausea wasn't as bad. If you get those little foot blisters, treat them early, like with some hydrocortisone cream or something
