I've recently started using Xelstrym, a transdermal patch containing dextroamphetamine, to manage my ADHD. Unlike pills, this patch delivers a steady dose of medication over 9 hours, which has been a game-changer for me. I apply it to my hip each morning and it's been great for keeping my symptoms in check without the peaks and troughs I experienced with immediate-release meds. However, I've noticed some side effects like decreased appetite and occasional headaches. I've also read about serious side effects, and that worries me. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? What are your thoughts on long-term use? Do you think the benefits outweigh the potential risks?

I love the convenience, but the patch site can get irritated. I use a hydrocortisone cream to help with that

I've had some trouble with blisters and peeling skin, but my doctor said these are pretty uncommon and that it might just be me. How many of you guys are dealing with this? I did a bit of testing and it seems like it might be heat-related. Maybe try to keep it cooler for a while and see if that helps?

I’m curious how many of you are seeing a noticeable difference in symptoms and how long it took. I just started and I’m hopeful but a bit worried. I don't want a new medication if it's not worth it

Seriously, though, the convenience of a patch is amazing. No more forgetting to take a pill. I just slap it on in the morning and I'm good to go
