Xenpozyme 4mg Inj, 1 Vial, is a groundbreaking treatment for Acid Sphingomyelinase Deficiency (ASMD), also known as Niemann-Pick disease types A/B or B. The medicine works by replacing the missing enzyme that helps break down sphingomyelin. For some, it's a life-changing drug. But as with any medication, there are side effects to be aware of. Patients have reported serious allergic reactions, severe dizziness, fever, and more. This thread is for those who want to understand Xenpozyme's side effects better. Help me know what to expect or how to deal with these side effects?

This thread is great, but where can I find more information on ASMD? I want to understand the disease better before starting Xenpozyme. Does anyone know of any good resources?

I've been on Xenpozyme for a few months now, and while it's been managing my symptoms better than any previous treatment, I have experienced some pretty nasty headaches. My doctor recommended some over-the-counter pain relief. Anyone else dealing with this?

I'm amazed at how much it helps, even though I've had stinging and redness at the injection site a few times. Hot compresses helped a lot and it went away quickly. Also, I found that staying hydrated can help mitigate some of the general discomfort.

My doctor told me to watch out for fever. It can be a sign of an allergic reaction. I'm glad I'm aware of these symptoms. I'm definitely going to monitor my temperature closely.

I think the most important thing to remember is that while these side effects can be scary, they are generally manageable. I had a pretty bad reaction the first few times I took it, but now I take an antihistamine beforehand and haven't had any issues since.

Feeling nervous about trying Xenopzyme, but knowing it can really help manage ASMD makes it worth it. I wonder if anyone has had experiences where the side effects went away over time.

I've heard Xenpozyme can cause serious side effects in some cases. Does anyone know what the odds of these happening are? Just trying to weigh the pros and cons.
