I recently started taking Xigduo XR 5mg/500mg Tablets to manage my type 2 diabetes. The combination of dapagliflozin and metformin extended-release has helped me lower my blood sugar levels significantly. However, I've been experiencing some side effects like diarrhea and upset stomach. Has anyone else had similar issues? How long did it take for them to subside? Also, I'm curious about the potential for weight loss and improved blood pressure. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I switched from metformin only to Xigduo XR and the side effects were rough. However, I've seen a significant improvement in my blood sugar levels and my doctor is happy with my progress. Staying hydrated and eating clean has helped a lot.

Xigduo XR was recommended by my doctor for managing type 2 diabetes. I had some kidney concerns because of the potential side effects, but my doctor assured me that regular check-ups would mitigate any risks. Make sure you report any unusual symptoms to your doctor immediately.

I switched from Januvia to Xigduo and the weight loss was a nice surprise. Be aware of potential yeast infections though, both my wife and I had some complications at the start.

Great thread! I've heard mixed reviews about this medication. My dad had some severe fluid and electrolyte problems, but he switched to a different med and is doing fine now.

I've been on this med for a year now and I'm fine.

Be careful with this one. My friend's relative had a severe allergic reaction. Make sure to keep an eye out for any unusual symptoms. Saw a commercial about this and it sounded deadly.

I've had some issues with yeast infections, but otherwise, Xigduo XR has been working well for me. Definitely worth discussing with your doctor if you're experiencing any discomfort. Monitoring my blood sugar twice a day.

I've been on Xigduo XR for a few months now and it's been a game-changer for my blood sugar control. The side effects were rough at first but they got better. Staying hydrated and reporting any changes to my doctor immediately has made a big difference.
