I've been on Xolair for a few months now to manage my severe allergic asthma, and it's been a bit of a rollercoaster. On one hand, my asthma symptoms have improved significantly. On the other hand, I've experienced some side effects that I never expected. I've had a lot of interest, concern and questions from friends and family about this medication, and it's been difficult to find comprehensive, real-world advice. I've noticed more irritation at the injection site and some general fatigue, but what worries me more are the urgent side effects mentioned in the medication guide. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Are there any tips to manage these side effects better? Is it worth the risk for the relief it provides? I'd love to hear from others who have been through this.

I had a friend who took this and they ended up having a hot, hard lump at the injection site. I really couldn't see them injecting again in that area. It was really concerning when they couldn't get it treated.

Be careful with this stuff. A friend of mine had a severe reaction and ended up in the hospital. They had to stop using it altogether.

I was on Xolair for a while, and while it did help with my asthma, the side effects were too much for me. I experienced a lot of fatigue and joint pain, which was really debilitating. I had to switch to something else. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any cheaper alternatives to Xolair for severe allergies?

I've been on Xolair for my nasal polyps, and it's been a mixed bag. It definitely helps, and I haven't had any serious side effects, but I've had some pretty bad headaches.

I see a lot of people talking about the injection site reactions. I found that using a cold compress helped a lot with the pain and irritation. Also, make sure to rotate injection sites to avoid any long-term issues. It can't hurt to talk to your doctor about pre-medications to reduce the reactions.

I started Xolair recently and I'm hoping it will help with my food allergies. I've only had one injection so far, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I've heard the injections can be uncomfortable, but I have to say it wasn't that bad.
