I was recently prescribed Xtampza ER 9mg Capsules for chronic pain management. I've been taking them for a few weeks now, and while they've helped with the pain, I'm a bit concerned about some of the side effects I've been experiencing. Has anyone else had issues with severe dizziness or constipation? I've also heard about the risks of serotonin syndrome and adrenal gland problems, which are scary. How common are these side effects, and should I be worried? Also, can anyone shed some light on the long-term effects on sex hormone levels? I'm a bit worried about the potential impact on fertility.

I've had trouble passing urine since I started taking Xtampza. Anyone else experiencing this? It's a bit scary.

I think Xtampza is a bit of a double-edged sword. It's helped me manage my pain, but the side effects are no joke. I wish there was a better alternative.

I've been on Xtampza for a while now, and I've had some issues with constipation. Drinking plenty of water and adding fiber to my diet has helped a bit. Just be cautious and keep an eye on any severe symptoms.

This medication is designed to be harder to abuse, which is a good thing. But the side effects are real and can be severe. Make sure to talk to your doctor about any concerns and get regular checkups.

Have any of you experienced hallucinations or changes in eyesight? I've heard this can happen with opioid medications, and it's pretty scary. Please share your experiences if you have any!

Agreed! I also experienced a rash and hives after taking Xtampza. Turned out to be an allergic reaction. Went to the ER and they switched me to something else. If any of you experience these symptoms, get immediate attention. Do not mess around!

Serotonin syndrome is indeed scary. Make sure you're not taking any other medications that could interact with Xtampza, and always talk to your doctor about any new symptoms. I had to switch off them after I experienced some severe mood changes.

I've never had any trouble with seizure attacks before, but since I started taking this medication I've felt dizzy and lightheaded. Definitely something to talk to your doctor about.

I can't believe how expensive this medication is. I feel like a doctor should be able to prescribe a cheaper alternative.

I've had no issues with Xtampza so far, but I'm really worried about the long-term effects on sex hormone levels. Has anyone else experienced this?
