I recently underwent dental work and was given Xylocaine-Mpf 1% Inj, 5ml to numb the area. It worked great, but I couldn't help but notice the extensive list of side effects. Has anyone else had bad experiences with this? I'm especially curious about the spinal injection side effects like erectile dysfunction and loss of bladder control. Does anyone know if these are common or rare? I'm always a bit hesitant with medication, but this seems like a standard procedure. What are your thoughts?

I had no idea about the spinal injection side effects. I had lidocaine for wisdom teeth removal and it never crossed my mind that it could affect bladder control. I'm glad I'm not having it for any spinal procedure anytime soon.

I've heard that spinal injections can be risky. I had a friend who had issues with motor function after a spinal injection. It's not something to take lightly.

I think the key is to communicate with your doctor. They should be able to explain the risks and benefits in a way that makes you feel comfortable. If you're really worried, maybe consider other options.

I had Xylocaine-Mpf for a dental procedure, and it was fine. But I was nervous about the metallic taste and dizziness. It never happened, thank goodness. I did end up with a bit of a headache, but it went away after a few hours.

The side effects list is pretty scary. I had no idea that lidocaine could cause such severe reactions. I guess it's important to be informed about what we're putting into our bodies.

Have any of you ever reported side effects to the FDA? I've had reactions to medications before but never bothered to report them. Maybe I should start.

I had a bad reaction to lidocaine once. I've heard that patient history of allergies can increase the likelihood of a reaction, especially an allergic reaction. Maybe that's why the allergic reactions are so severe—the body responds strongly if it's allergic. Do you know if that's true for everyone? It's scary to think about.

Severe side effects are rare, but they can happen. If you experience any of the symptoms listed, seek medical help immediately. Don't take any chances with these things.

I had Xylocaine-Mpf for a minor surgery and had no issues. I was worried about the side effects, but everything went smoothly. Just make sure to follow your doctor's instructions closely.

I had a cousin who had methemoglobinemia from lidocaine. It was terrifying to watch. The symptoms came on so fast and it was really scary. But the doctors acted quickly and he made it through alright. I think that's why it's so important to be vigilant about these things because it can get really serious.
