I had a bad reaction to Xyntha once, felt like I couldn't breathe and my face was all swollen. Scary stuff. Had to switch to a different treatment. Be careful, everyone.
I've been using Xyntha for a while now and it's been great, no side effects so far. I'm lucky, I guess. Just make sure you're doing your injections properly to avoid any unnecessary issues.
I have had chest pain before with Xyntha. I thought it was nothing, but after reading the side effects I went to the ER. It turned out I had developed an allergy to the medication. Were you ever tested for allergic reactions to Factor VIII?
Just remember to always keep an EpiPen in your bag. You never know when an allergic reaction is going to strike.
