I've been on Yervoy for a few months now, and I wanted to share my experience. Yervoy is an immunotherapy that helps your immune system fight cancer by blocking the CTLA-4 protein, which normally puts the brakes on your immune cells. This allows your immune cells to become more active and attack the cancer. However, it also comes with a range of potential side effects, from mild to severe. Here's what I've encountered and some advice for those going through the same treatment. I'll tell you what my body went through and some tips for dealing with the side effects.

I've been experiencing some strange bowel changes. Anyone else? It's been a bit unpredictable.

Anyone else experiencing severe diarrhea? It's been a nightmare and I'm not sure what to do about it.

Anyone else feel extremely cold all the time? I've been bundling up like it's winter, but it's still not enough. I've tried layering clothes to help with the chills and that seems to help a bit. It's the nights that are the worst.

I'm on my third cycle of Yervoy and the side effects have been tough. The first week was the hardest with severe fatigue and nausea, but it got better with time. Just be prepared for some major changes in your energy levels and overall well-being. Also, make sure to stay in close contact with your medical team. They can help you manage the side effects.

The headaches have been brutal, but my doctor prescribed some medication that has helped. I've found that staying hydrated and taking naps when needed has been helpful too. I've also noticed that the headaches are worse if I skip meals, so I try to eat small, regular meals throughout the day to keep my blood sugar stable. I also get a lot of skin rashes which can be itchy and painful. I've been recommended some creams and soaps to help manage it.

I'm on cycle 2. Any advice on dealing with the flu-like symptoms? I feel like I've been hit by a truck.
