I've recently started using Zemplar 5mcg/ml Inj 1ml to control my parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels due to kidney disease. The medication has been crucial in managing my PTH levels, but I've had a few questions and concerns. Does anyone else have experience with this drug? How have you handled the side effects, especially the more serious ones like abnormal heartbeats or seizures? I'm also curious about how it impacts long-term bone health. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I wish there was more information about how Zemplar interacts with other medications. Anyone know anything about that?

I had a weird side effect—my nose and throat were super irritated for a week. It was awful, but thankfully it went away. Just make sure to stay in touch with your doctor.

I had a bad reaction to Zemplar—ended up with severe headaches and vomiting. My doctor switched me to a different medication, but it’s been a struggle to find something that works as well.

I've been on Zemplar for about six months now, and it's made a big difference in my PTH levels. Just be vigilant about the side effects, especially the severe ones. I had a bit of dizziness at first, but it subsided after a few weeks.

I had to switch to Zemplar from another medication because of severe headaches. I’ve had really good results, and I haven’t had any major side effects yet.

Have any of you experienced any long-term benefits from using Zemplar? I'm particularly interested in how it affects bone density over time.

Anyone else feel like the side effects list is a mile long? I'm always paranoid something minor will turn into something major.

I’ve been lucky with side effects, but I’ve had to watch my calcium and phosphorus levels closely. Sometimes I need adjustments to my diet or other meds to keep everything balanced.
