Hi everyone, I've been taking Zetia 10mg Tablets for about three months now to lower my LDL cholesterol. The medication itself seems effective, but I've experienced some joint pain and muscle weakness, which are listed as possible side effects. I was hoping to hear from others who might have had similar experiences. How common are these side effects, and should I be concerned? I've discussed it with my doctor, but would love to get some personal insights from folks who’ve been in the same boat.

Thanks!

I've heard some scary stories about severe side effects from Zetia. I'm glad I haven't had any, but it's still scary to think about. Anyone else have similar thoughts?

I've been taking Zetia for over a year now and I've experienced some muscle pain and weakness. I've also had some issues with my liver enzymes, and I was given an additional medication to counteract these issues. I had a bad reaction to them, but the docs were able to adjust the dosage. Its worth having regular checkups to make sure its not having any major impact on your system. However, I have noticed my cholesterol levels dropping pretty steadily. I feel like that makes it worth it, personally.

I've been on Zetia for about six months and honestly, I haven't had any side effects. I've been monitoring my cholesterol levels and they've been steadily improving. I'm not sure if I'm lucky or if it's just that I haven't been taking it long enough. I think its worth it

I switched from a different statin to Zetia because of muscle pain. Zetia has been much better for me so far. Just been a bit tired.

I started taking Zetia a few weeks ago and I've noticed some joint pain too. It's not unbearable, but it's definitely there. I'm keeping an eye on it and hoping it goes away. I haven't seen my doctor back yet. I was wondering if anyone has had it go away once you've been on it longer?

Has anyone switched from Zetia to a different statin because of side effects? I'm curious if the side effects are similar or different.

My doctor recommended I take Zetia for a few weeks to see how it went. Unfortunately, I had to stop because of some flu-like symptoms. I don't know if it was a coincidence, but it was enough to make me wary of taking it again.

I've been on Zetia for a while now and I've had to deal with some pretty bad joint and muscle pain. I've been trying to mitigate it with exercise and supplements, but I feel like the side effects are really starting to impact my quality of life. Its making it hard to go to the gym, which is definitely not helping. Has anyone else had this issue?

I was on Zetia for a few months and it helped a lot with my cholesterol, but I stopped because of the joint pain. I talked to my doctor and we switched to a different statin and I feel a lot better now. Its worth talking to your doctor about other options if it gets bad.

I've been on Zetia for a year and haven't had any major issues. Just a bit of fatigue, but it's manageable.
