Zinc Oxide 20% Ointment - A Lifesaver or Over-Hyped?

I'm not a fan. Even though it worked for the rash, it inhaled ammonia. I was allergic to it. I used it for a small cut and it caused a weird reaction that made me break out in hives. I had to wash it all off.

I used this ointment for my baby's diaper rash for the first time and I think it works well. It forms a barrier on the skin which helps to prevent and heal minor cuts or burns. I've noticed it keeps moisture away from the skin, allowing it to heal. It’s a miracle for me.

How long did it take for the diaper rash to clear up for you?

My daughter doesn't have sensitive skin but you have to be careful and pay attention to instructions.
