I just started taking Zinc Sulfate 220mg Tablets to boost my immune system and help with wound healing. I've read about the possible side effects, and while they seem rare, I'm still a bit worried. Has anyone else taken this supplement and experienced any adverse reactions? Specifically, I'm curious about the serious allergic reactions mentioned. I've heard that zinc can interact with certain medications, so I'm also wondering if anyone knows if Zinc Sulfate interacts with common meds like ibuprofen. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure about drug interactions. But, I know that taking zinc sulfate in the morning made me feel nauseous. My doctor told me to take it in the evening and it worked for me. I hope it helps!

I've read that zinc can interfere with the effectiveness of antibiotics like tetracycline and quinolone. I'm thinking also of ceftriaxone. It can also reduce the absorption of some medications like levothyroxine. So, you should definitely consult with your doctor first if you are taking any of these. I just switched from iodine-based supplements to these and what a difference! But I knew I'd have to do it slowly, so I'm mixing them to make the transition.

Just be careful with your dosage. I once took too much and it caused me to feel unwell. The doctor said it was bad for my zinc levels. So, be safe and take the right amount. I'm not sure what you should do with any leftover tablets. Do they expire soon, or can you store them? Just be careful and check the package instructions to be sure.

I feel totally fine with them but since you have concerns, why don't you talk to your doctor?
