I took Zolpidem ER for a few weeks and had terrible hallucinations. It was so scary that I stopped taking it immediately. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I talk to my doctor about trying it again? I'm desperate for a good night's sleep.
I never had any side effects. Knocked out every time. Just make sure you don’t drink alcohol with it, or you’ll have a rough morning.

I've switched to a lower dose. It seems to help with the side effects but maybe not as effective. Guess it's a trade-off.
Daytime drowsiness is a real thing for me, too. I’ve started taking my meds a bit earlier in the evening and set an alarm to ensure I’m up in the morning. Definitely worth trying if you're struggling with that side effect.
