I've been prescribed Zykadia 150mg Tablets for my ALK-positive lung cancer and wanted to start a discussion about everyone's experiences. So far, I've noticed some stomach pain and fatigue, but nothing too severe. What side effects have others experienced? Any tips for managing them? Also, I'm curious to hear about how long it took for some of you to see improvements or if you had to deal with any serious side effects. Let's share our stories and support each other. Thanks!

I had no idea it could cause panceatitis. That's something I would want to know going in. Most people taking this medicine don't realise the full extent of what they are getting into. There needs to be more informational meetings, so that patients know fully what they are getting into.

I'm not sure if this is related but I've been having some weird eye stuff. Like, my vision has been blurry in one eye. Might have to talk to an ophthalmologist or something.

My dad was on Zykadia and yes, there were some bad days but he's doing great now. The effects were pretty rough in the beginning, but his specialist mentioned giving it time to work and slowly the worst symptoms went away.

I think we should all push for more research into this drug. It's a game-changer for ALK-positive lung cancer, and I hope we can get better supportive care to handle side effects.

Upset stomach and headaches are the worst. I have tried eating smaller, more frequent meals which seems to help a bit.

This drug is a lifesaver. It shrunk my tumor significantly and I feel much better. Had some pretty bad liver issues at the start, but it was worth it.

I had a really bad rash and itching when I started Zykadia. Turns out it was an allergic reaction. Went through Benzoyl Peroxide treatments and it cleared up pretty fast. But RAISE YOUR HAND if you have ever tried to Google 'rash' and 'Zykadia' and then how to manage it? Some doctors, they can be clueless.
