Stay away from those pills. They are worthless and dangerous. I switched to a natural supplement and I feel much better.
I’ve heard that taking it on an empty stomach and staying upright for at least 30 minutes after can help with stomach issues. Also, make sure your calcium and vitamin D levels are in check. Worth a shot if the side effects are bothering you.
I had to stop taking it because of severe pain in the hip. It was really scary. My doctor said to try a different bisphosphonate and things are going better with the new med. Curious to hear from others who’ve had bone pain.
Spent the last few weeks totally miserable because of Actonel. The chest pain was scary. Ended up stopping it and talking to the doctor and they gave me another medication. Side effects were too much to handle.

I’ve found that the flu-like symptoms were the worst part for me. It was like having a low-grade fever all the time. Not fun, but it was manageable.
