Acyclovir 5% Ointment 15gm: My Experience and Tips for Treating Cold Sores and Genital Herpes
I've been using Acyclovir 5% Ointment for a few years now to treat cold sores and genital herpes. It's been a game-changer in terms of reducing the pain and discomfort associated with outbreaks. I usually apply it at the first sign of an outbreak and it helps the sores heal faster. However, I've had some skin irritation and burning sensations, which can be quite uncomfortable. I've also heard that some people experience more severe side effects, so it's important to be aware of the potential risks and to know when to seek medical attention. I've found that it works best when combined with other preventive measures like avoiding triggers and maintaining good hygiene. Has anyone else had a similar experience or tips to share?

I recently started using Acyclovir and have found it to be very effective. I apply it 5 times a day like the instructions say, and it's helped a lot with the healing process. The only downside for me is the cost, but it's worth it because it's effective.
I've had the same skin irritation issue. I found that applying a small amount of hydrocortisone cream afterward helps reduce the irritation.
Be careful with this stuff, it can be super irritating to sensitive skin! I ended up switching to a different treatment after experiencing some pretty bad reactions.
I've been using Acyclovir for years, and it's been a lifesaver. The burning sensation is a bit annoying, but it's worth it to speed up the healing process. I've never had any of the severe side effects, but I do keep an eye out for them just in case.
This stuff is a lifesaver for me. I get cold sores every few months, and Acyclovir always helps them heal faster and reduces the pain. I just wish it didn't sting so much when I apply it! Better than leaving them to heal on their own, though.
I've been using this for a while now and haven't had any side effects. I just make sure to apply a thin layer and not get it on the surrounding healthy skin. I do this so I don't get any irritation.
