I started taking Adalat CC 30mg Tablets a few weeks ago to manage my high blood pressure, and I've been doing okay overall but I still have questions. The extended-release form has been convenient, as I only need to take it once a day. However, I've been experiencing some dizziness and flushed skin. My doctor assured me these are common side effects, but I'm curious if anyone else has had similar experiences. I’ve also noticed that for my brand, the tablet shell shows up in my stool, which I guess is normal—has anyone else seen this? Also, I’ve felt a bit of a headache and nausea, but it's not too bad, as long as I take it with a meal. What are your experiences? Are there any tips on how to manage the side effects?

Being on Adalat has been a breeze for me. No side effects except for a mild headache once in a while, but that’s nothing a cup of coffee can’t fix. And as mentioned, I’ve also seen the tablet shell in my stool. Not so sure what to do with this information.

This drug saved my life but I had to stop because of the constipation – it was so severe that it affected my daily life. I’m just saying that if you feel seriously sick, don’t take it lying down.

Just started it too and I can confirm the dizziness. I almost fell over because I got dizzy too fast. Maybe try taking it with food or before bed?

I experienced some pretty bad flushing when I first started. It was so intense! Luckily it went away after a couple of days. Still, I take it with food and it helps a lot! Be careful, on an empty stomach I felt like I got all the side effects at once…

Keep in mind, everyone's body reacts differently to medication. If you're worried about side effects, talk to your doc. They can probably adjust your dosage or switch you to another med if it's too much.

This thread is scary. I've been thinking about getting these tablets for my blood pressure. Are the side effects really that bad? Has anyone stopped taking this because of side effects?
