Amlodipine-Benaz 2.5/10mg Capsules: Side Effects and Experiences
I've recently been prescribed Amlodipine-Benaz 2.5/10mg Capsules for high blood pressure. I was wondering if anyone else has experience with this medication. I'm particularly curious about the side effects, especially the more severe ones like allergic reactions or kidney problems. If you've had any issues or if you could share that you've taken this and had little to no issues, I'd really appreciate hearing your stories! I'm a bit nervous about the potential for swelling in the arms or legs since my mom has had fluid buildup issues. Thankfully she is well now. And Going through my own health crisis and wanting to make sure I'm on the right track is important. I'm also curious about how common the dizziness is. Have any of you experienced that, and if so, did it go away over time?

I had no side effects. My high blood pressure is finally being controlled. I feel great and it is a good thing to learn more about yourself and your health. I think everyone should be aware of this medication and how it can actually save your life.
I had a bad cough with this medication. My doctor switched me to something else and I feel much better. Sometimes you just have to try a few different drugs and it's not just you, it happens to a lot of people! Don't give up hope!
This drug saved my life. I had really high blood pressure and this brought it down to normal levels. I have no side effects but I did have dizziness at first. It was awful and I was very concerned, but my doctor said it could happen and it will go away with time. And it did! I have no more issues at all. I am so thankful for this drug and all that it has done for me.
I've been on it for a year and have had no problems. The swelling is something I want to keep an eye on especially if you are having any other problems with fluid retention. I had no swelling, but I have no issues with edema otherwise. Blood pressure under control and I'm feeling great!
I had a really bad reaction to this drug. I had a rash and my chest felt really tight. I had to go to the hospital and I was not allowed to take it again. Take care!
I'm on the lowest dose and it's working for me. I have mild dizziness but I have no trouble with it. I would just hate for everyone to be scared to take it and risk a heart attack or a stroke. I would much rather have a little dizziness than have that happen to me.
I was worried about the kidney problems, but my doctor said to watch for changes in urine output. I'm keeping an eye on it, but so far so good. Just do what you feel is right and if you're concerned with your doctor now, go to another one, you don't want to risk the chance at any complications.
I'm surprised more people aren't talking about the dizziness. I've been on this for a couple of weeks and it's been really hard to deal with. Just hoping it goes away soon or if it does not if there is an alternative drug that will help me. Obviously my doctor knows best and I'm glad I'm doing my part as well.
