I was prescribed Ampicillin-Sulbactam 15gm Inj, 1vl for a severe infection, and I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. I know it's an effective antibiotic for serious bacterial infections, but the list of side effects is quite extensive. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'm particularly concerned about the severe skin reactions and liver problems mentioned in the documentation. I'm wondering if these side effects are as rare as they seem, or if I should be more vigilant. Also, what should I do if I experience any of these side effects? Should I wait and see if they go away, or seek immediate medical attention? Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I remember a patient who had a severe case of Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhea (CDAD) after using this medication. It's important to recognize that diarrhea is common, but if it's very watery, bloody, or accompanied by severe stomach pain, don't hesitate to call your doctor. They can prescribe meds to help.

I work in a hospital pharmacy, and we see a lot of patients on Ampicillin-Sulbactam. The key is to watch for any signs of an allergic reaction or severe diarrhea. If you notice any rash, hives, or difficulty breathing, seek immediate medical attention. These symptoms can quickly become life-threatening.

I had to take Ampicillin-Sulbactam for a gynecological infection, and I had severe pain at the injection site. Luckily, it went away quickly, but it was awful while it lasted. It's worth mentioning to your doctor if you experience this.

I didn't know antibiotics could cause liver problems. That's why it's so crucial to see a doctor if you feel worse after starting these meds. I hope you feel better soon! Stay hydrated and take it easy.

I've seen cases of severe skin reactions, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome, with this medication. It's terrifying how quickly it can progress. If you notice any red, swollen, or blistered skin, or if you develop a fever and chills, get to the ER immediately. These symptoms can be fatal if not treated promptly.

Don't be too scared by the side effects. My experience was fine, but I was always aware of the things to watch out for. Liver problems are rare, but if you notice dark urine or yellow skin, it's better to be safe and call your doctor.

I've had a friend who had this before. She was so sick. She never takes antibiotics again. Stay in touch with your doctor.

Short and sweet. I had Ampicillin-Sulbactam and didn't notice any side effects. I didn't even need to take anything other than the antibiotic. I was lucky that it did the job, but I am a bit scared by the list of potential side effects. I barely read any of it though.

I've never personally had a problem with this medication, but I do get nervous about the allergic reactions. So many serious symptoms there. It's not something to mess around with. I'd rather be safe and call a doctor if I had a friend who experienced these things.
