I've been dealing with some persistent itching from a nasty insect bite and decided to pick up the Anti-Itch 2-0.1% Cream 28.4gm. The cream contains diphenhydramine, an antihistamine that promises to block histamine and relieve itching. It also has a numbing effect, which I'm hoping will help with the pain. I've tried it out for a couple of days, and while it does seem to help with the itching, I wonder if anyone else has experienced any side effects? The packaging lists some serious warnings, like allergic reactions, so I'm a bit cautious. Also, what are your experiences with other creams? Are there any you recommend over this one?

Just be careful with any over-the-counter stuff. It’s easy to think it’s all good but everyone is different. Make sure you talk to your doctor about any reactions.

I've used this cream before and it worked wonders for my sunburn. I didn't experience any side effects, but I made sure to do a patch test first.

The cream is perfectly okay, but for me, it didn’t do much for insect bites. I found hydrocortisone cream worked better.

Be careful with antihistamines. Make sure you don’t put it on open wounds or near your eyes. Also, keep it out of reach of children. This stuff is too important to let kids get into.

If you have sensitive skin it really irritates the nerves. I had to stop using it. My friend too.

I had the worst reaction to this cream. My skin got red and started swelling. I had to rush to the ER. It was scary. I can't imagine what it would be like if it wasn't minor. I'm skipping this cream in the future.
