I've been dealing with some heart rhythm issues lately, and my doctor has prescribed a Lidocaine/d5w 4mg/ml IV infusion to help regulate my heartbeats. I've had it before and I've noticed some very light-headedness after the treatment but I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences? I'd love to hear any insights or tips on managing the side effects, especially since I’m a bit worried about the severity of some of the listed side effects. Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Seems like the main thing with Lidocaine is to be under constant medical supervision. On its own, Lidocaine is great for treating arrhythmias but you gotta be careful with the side effects. It’s crucial to communicate with your medical team.

I was really scared when I first started this. But after a few infusions, I got used to it, and the side effects lessened over time.

My mom had this a few years ago. She didn't have any severe reactions, just some mild dizziness. But they monitored her closely in the hospital.

I had to get an IV infusion with this too. It helped but man, the tingling sensations were intense! But I think it gets better the more you get it?
