Hi there, I was recently prescribed Fyavolv (ethinyl estradiol and norethindrone) to manage my menopause symptoms. I've been experiencing hot flashes and I'm worried about bone thinning. Has anyone else been on this medication? I'm curious to hear about your experiences, especially with the side effects listed. Some of the urgent side effects seem scary, like the signs of liver problems and blood clots. Has anyone dealt with any of these? Also, how long did it take for the medication to start working for you? Any tips on managing side effects would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I've been on Fyavolv for about 6 months now. It's helped with the hot flashes, but I did experience some mild side effects at first like bloating and breast tenderness. Nothing too bad. I found that taking it with food helped a lot with the upset stomach. Definitely talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.

I switched to Fyavolv after trying a few other medications. The progestin in it really helped with the uterine lining issues I was having. Just make sure to get regular check-ups and monitor your blood pressure. It can fluctuate while on this med.

Anyone else get the dark patches on their face? I'm avoiding the sun as much as possible to prevent that.

For those experiencing depression or mood changes, it might be worth talking to a therapist as well. Hormonal changes can be tough, and sometimes extra support can help.

I noticed a significant reduction in hot flashes within the first month. The severe side effects are rare, but you should definitely be aware of them. I keep a list of symptoms to watch out for and check in with my doctor regularly. My aunt had a really bad reaction to similar medication and I know some of the symptoms she had. I just make sure to keep an eye out for anything abnormal.

Be careful with this one. I had a friend who took it and ended up with blood clots in her legs. Scary stuff.
