I was prescribed Clemastine Fumarate Syrup for my allergies and while it helps with the sneezing and runny nose, I've been experiencing some concerning side effects. I've read that it can cause drowsiness, but I'm also getting really bad headaches and feeling dizzy. I'm worried because the symptoms seem to be getting worse. Has anyone else had similar issues? Or am I overreacting? I've always been unsure about the side effects listed. Are the urgent side effects rare?

What should I do if I experience a change in balance? More importantly, how do I know if my symptoms are urgent? I've been hesitant to contact my doctor because I don't want to seem dramatic, but I also don't want to ignore something serious. Any advice from those who have been through this would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you're drinking plenty of water and getting enough rest. I've found that staying hydrated and well-rested helps me handle the side effects. I used to take this syrup and it knocked me out, but then I was fine with some water and sleep.

I've been taking this for a while and haven't had any major issues. Just the usual drowsiness, but it's manageable.

Definitely talk to your doctor. It's better to be safe. I had a friend who had a bad reaction to Clemastine and they switched her to a different antihistamine.

I had a really bad reaction to this syrup, so I stopped taking it. I ended up with hives all over my body and had trouble breathing. It was terrifying. I had to go to the ER and they gave me some other antihistamine.

I wish I had known about the dizziness and nausea beforehand. I thought it was just the allergies acting up when I started feeling off.

I’ve been on this and I can't stand the drowsiness that comes with it. I feel like I'm walking around in a fog. It's hard to function even though it helps with my allergies.

I think it's worth exploring other options. There are so many antihistamines out there, and you might find one that works better with fewer side effects. I found Zyrtec to be safer and it doesn't make me drowsy.
