I was recently prescribed Probenecid/colchicine Tablets to manage my gout and I'm curious to hear about others' experiences. This combination drug seems to be helping with the inflammation and pain, but I'm wondering if anyone has had any unusual side effects or tips for managing them. Let's share our stories and advice!

For those unaware, Probenecid helps your kidneys remove more uric acid from your body, which lowers the amount of uric acid in your blood and prevents gout attacks. Colchicine helps reduce the inflammation and pain of gout attacks. It's important to take this medication regularly to prevent future gout flares.

Serious side effects can occur, so it's crucial to be aware of symptoms like allergic reactions, liver problems, or kidney issues. If you experience any severe side effects, seek medical attention immediately. Other possible side effects include dizziness, diarrhea, stomach pain, and hair loss. Report any side effects to your doctor or the FDA if needed.

I've been on these for a while and haven't had any major issues. Just some mild dizziness now and then but nothing I can't handle. Don't forget to take them regularly, though. I forgot once and had a flare-up the next day.

Anyone else feel like they're constantly thirsty and peeing all the time since starting these? It's like my body is trying to flush out all the uric acid at once.

I've heard that Probenecid/colchicine Tablets can interact with certain foods and other medications. Make sure to talk to your doctor about any other meds you're on or big dietary changes. I was messing it up at first because I didn't know that.

Just started this and I'm already feeling like my kidneys are on fire. Anyone else have kidney issues? I'm worried this might be too harsh for me.
