I've recently been prescribed Telmisartan/hctz 40-12.5mg Tabs to manage my high blood pressure. The combination of telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide seems to be working well, but I've had a few questions and concerns about the potential side effects. I've read about some serious ones like allergic reactions, kidney problems, and even skin cancer risks, so I figure it's worth chatting about what we've experienced and what we need to watch out for. Has anyone else been dealing with this? I'm curious to hear about your journeys, tips, and any advice you might have.

You know what's weird? I'm got some strange tingling in my fingers. It's not bad, but it's so odd. Is that a side effect?

I think I’m just going to take their advice and keep an eye on my skin. They checked me out and said it’s how they can see early signs if anything is wrong. Better safe than sorry.

I've been on it for about a year and it's been a game-changer for me. Definitely had some dizziness at first, but that's calmed down. Keep an eye on your electrolyte levels, that was a real issue for me at the start. Sucks to feel like you have the flu!

Whew, I had a bad time with this one. Swelling in my throat, tightness in my chest, it was scary. Rushed to the ER and they told me to stop taking it. I've been on something else ever since.

I've been feeling more tired and weak than normal. It may be the medication, but I think it's more likely that I'm not drinking enough water. I need to pay more attention to this.
