Anyone Have Experience with Sodium Chloride 0.9% Inj? Sharing Concerns and Side Effects
I've been prescribed Sodium Chloride 0.9% Injection (Normal Saline) and I'm a bit anxious about the possible side effects. The list is pretty long, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had any serious issues. I've read about allergic reactions, fluid and electrolyte problems, and even skin infections. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Also, I've heard that pain and irritation at the injection site are common, but I'm hoping to avoid even those minor issues. If anyone has any tips or advice, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

I work in a hospital and I can tell you that reactions are rare, but they do happen. Pay close attention to any signs of an allergic reaction, and if you notice anything, get help immediately.
I had a really bad experience with normal saline. I got a severe allergic reaction. I hope you don't have to go through that.
I was in the hospital a while back and got normal saline. I didn't have any serious side effects, but I did get a bit of swelling and pain at the injection site. It went away after a day or two.
I've had normal saline a few times during surgeries, and I didn't experience any major side effects. Just a bit of discomfort at the injection site. Stay hydrated and you should be fine!
I've had normal saline a few times and never had any issues. Just make sure you're going to a reputable place and that whoever is administering it knows what they're doing.
I had swelling around the injection site, and it was scary.
