I was recently prescribed Promacta for ITP, a bleeding disorder where my body doesn't make enough platelets. It's supposed to help my body produce more platelets, which are crucial for blood clotting. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the serious ones. Has anyone else had any experience with this medication? What should I expect and how to handle the side effects? Also, does anyone know why it's only available as a powder for oral suspension?

Good luck with Promacta! I hope it works for you. Just remember, everyone's experience is different, so don't be too alarmed if you don't see immediate results or if you experience some side effects.

I was on Promacta for a while and it helped a lot with my platelet count. But I had some issues with diarrhea and stomach pain. My doctor adjusted the dose and it got better. Just keep in touch with your healthcare provider and don't hesitate to ask for adjustments if needed. Also, stay hydrated!

Stay strong, everyone. We're all in this together. Our bodies are amazing, even with their inefficiencies!

I've been on Promacta for a while and it's been a bit of a roller coaster. I had some really bad headaches and muscle pain at first, but my doctor adjusted the dose and it got better. Just keep in touch with your healthcare provider and don't hesitate to ask for adjustments if needed. Also, stay hydrated!
