I've been struggling with acne for a while now and my dermatologist recommended Ovace Plus 10% Wash Liquid. It's an antibiotic wash that helps stop bacterial growth and reduces redness and inflammation. I've started using it, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects. The package insert mentions some serious ones like allergic reactions and even severe skin reactions. Has anyone else used this and do you have any tips for minimizing side effects? I'm hoping to hear some positive experiences and get some advice on how to manage any potential issues.

I’ve had good results with Ovace Plus but you also need to be careful with these kinds of medications. I’ve seen some people develop blood problems or liver issues. Always look out for any unusual symptoms, like yellow skin or eyes, and contact your doctor if they appear. Also, severe skin reactions are a risk, but rare, so take it easy and monitor your skin carefully.

Just a tip – if you decide to use it, always follow the instructions on the label. I used it a bit more often than recommended at first and my skin got really irritated. Stick to the routine and give your skin time to adjust.

I had a similar experience – I think my body just reacts badly to antibiotics. My dermatologist recommended another product that worked just as well without the side effects.

Good luck with your acne journey! Hopefully, the wash works out for you. Just remember to be cautious and watch for any signs of a bad reaction.

Ovace Plus is a sulfa drug, so if you have any kind of allergy to sulfa, you should avoid this completely. I didn't know this when I started using it and ended up with a bad reaction. It's worth checking with your doctor before using any new medication. Also, if you experience anything like swollen lymph nodes or persistent nausea, those can be signs of liver problems, so get checked out right away.

I had a bad reaction to this stuff. Remember, if you experience any signs of an allergic reaction like rash, hives, or itching, seek medical help right away. My skin got super red and swollen, and my doctor said it was Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Not cool.

Ovace is frequently used for lots of skin symptoms and I've had good experiences with it. The key for me was to use it as directed. I made the mistake of increasing the frequency of application and had mild irritation, so just do what the doc says.

This thread is making me paranoid about trying the wash now, but I think it's worth it if it helps clear up acne, right?

I've been using it for a week and I haven't noticed any issues yet. How long does it usually take to see results? I'm hoping my acne starts to clear up soon.

I've used Ovace Plus for a few months now and it's been a game-changer for my acne. I started with a tiny patch test to make sure I didn't have any reactions. I did have some mild skin irritation initially but that cleared up after a week. Just make sure to patch test first and give your skin time to adjust.
