Atenolol 50mg Tablets: My Experience and Questions about Side Effects
I was prescribed Atenolol 50mg Tablets to manage my high blood pressure and reduce chest pain. I've been taking them for a few weeks now, and while I haven't experienced any severe side effects, I've noticed some dizziness and fatigue, which have been a bit concerning. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Are there any tips for managing these side effects? I've also heard that Atenolol can cause depression. I want to know if anyone has dealt with this and how it was managed. Additionally, I'm curious about the long-term effects of taking this medication and if anyone has had issues after stopping it. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've been on Atenolol for a year now, and the dizziness did go away after a few weeks. Just make sure to get up slowly from sitting or lying down. As for depression, I didn't experience that, but my doctor told me to watch for any changes in mood.
I took Atenolol for a short period and it really helped manage my blood pressure, but the fatigue was too much for me. Might give it another try if the side effects have improved.
I’ve heard that some people experience shortness of breath and feeling cold. Is it normal to feel that way, and would that happen after taking the medication for a while? Any tips on how to manage it?
I’ve been taking Atenolol for 5 years to manage angina. Never had any issues with it and it’s been a godsend. If you're worried, try not to be, but it is worth speaking to your doctor.
I’ve read that long-term use of Atenolol can lead to sexual dysfunction. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?
Atenolol can be a lifesaver for people with heart issues, but it’s important to monitor your symptoms closely. If you experience any of the urgent side effects, please go to the hospital right away. My doctor told me this once, and I never forgot it.
I noticed some weakness after starting Atenolol. It was subtle at first, but it got worse over time. I’m not sure if it was the medication or something else, but it’s worth mentioning to your doctor.
Interesting to see so many people talking about Atenolol. I’ve been on it for a while and haven’t had any major issues so far.
I wish I could say I found this helpful, but I had to stop taking Atenolol because of severe dizziness. I started feeling faint, and I didn't want to risk fainting and falling. Luckily, my doctor found me an alternative.
I switched to Atenolol after having some issues with another beta-blocker. I had heard that Atenolol had fewer side effects, but I did have some initial fatigue. I found that some light exercise helped combat that.
