I just got prescribed Atropine Sulf 1% Oph Soln 15ml for an eye exam. The doctor said it would dilate my pupils and relax my focusing muscle, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects listed, especially the blurred vision and sensitivity to light. Has anyone else used these drops? How long did the side effects last for you? Any tips for coping with them? I'd love to hear your experiences and advice!

I've used Atropine for an eye inflammation issue and it helped a lot. The side effects were manageable and I found that keeping my eyes closed as much as possible helped with the sensitivity to light. I suggest using artificial tears to keep your eyes lubricated, too

I've had a bad reaction to Atropine. I got severe headaches and nausea. Severe side effects are rare, but there are documented cases. Make sure you have a plan to contact your doctor if needed.

I never really found the side effects to be that bad. Some eye irritation, but it was worth it.

I used Atropine eye drops for an eye exam and found the side effects to be quite mild. I experienced some blurred vision and light sensitivity, but nothing too severe. I just wore sunglasses indoors and took it easy for a couple of days. It was worth it for the accurate exam results.
