Hello there, fellow dry eye sufferers! I've been using Verkazia 0.1% Oph Emul Single Use for a few months now, and I wanted to share my experience in hopes of helping others out there. First off, this stuff is a lifesaver for anyone with severe dry eye disease. I've tried it on my 6 year old who has been diagnosed with dry eyes and as a 40 year old adult. It really helps to reduce inflammation and produces more natural tears for both of us! Having a kid and working from home is stressful enough and I'm grateful that we found something that works to mitigate those eye symptoms. It's an immunosuppressant, so it comes with some potential side effects, but I've managed to avoid any major issues. I did experience a bit of eye irritation when I first started using it, but that went away after a week or so. I've also had the occasional cough, but nothing too serious. It's important to note that while these side effects can be a bit concerning, the benefits for me and my family have far outweighed the negatives. I've had to be diligent about washing my hands and staying away from direct sunlight when I put in the eye drops. It's certainly not a walk in the park, but it's worth it for the relief it brings. I highly recommend talking to your doctor about it if you're struggling with severe dry eye disease. Just make sure to be aware of the potential side effects and stay vigilant about any changes in your vision or overall health. This is a long term commitment that with its ups and downs, but for us it is the best option.

I have some questions. Can this be used for contact wearers? I checked the packaging and I didn't see anything written about it.

I've been using Verkazia for a few months now, and I'm not sure I've noticed a difference. Has anyone else felt like this? How long did it take for you to see improvement?

I've been using Verkazia for a while now, and it's been a game-changer for my dry eyes. I had to educate my husband on how to properly administer the eye drops to my child without touching the applicator. Highly recommend getting a second set of eyes to help, especially if it's for a child.

The coughing is the worst. My doctor said it was a rare side effect. I found it was due to dryness in my nasal cavity. I started using a humidifier around the house and it alleviated the stuffiness and the coughing. Doctors are the best.

Be careful about the dosage! I missed a day, and my eyes were so dry the next day. I had to apply a couple of doses of eye drops to feel it to feel okay. I have to admit it was my fault though, I was so excited to get a good night's sleep! It did make me realize how much I depend on these drops for my eyes.

Eye drops are the worst! I used Verkazia for a while but I switched back to artificial tears. I'm happy for you though!

This thread feels like a PSA for something so mundane as eye drops. #DryEyeSquad

Glad to hear it's working for you! Just make sure to be vigilant about those side effects. I had a friend who had some serious issues with an entirely different eye drop, but they should have done more research. My primary issue was the tightness in the chest. It was only a few seconds, but I made sure to call the doctor afterward.

Been there! I've been using it for a couple of years now. It took me a while to notice the difference; maybe a month or so. I felt like I was using it improperly and couldn't wait for a pharmacist to talk to about the medication. I tried using it at different times of the day, before bed, when I first woke up. At first, I had to use it twice a day. My doctor informed me that using it a couple of hours before bedtime would be best.

I tried Verkazia but it caused some pretty severe eye pain in my eyes, ended up in urgent care. My doctor said the side effects were rare so I switched to artificial tears.
