Bariatric Multivitamins W/45mg Iron: Essential Supplement for Post-WLS Patients or Just Another Expensive Pill?
I recently started taking Bariatric Multivitamins with 45mg Iron after my weight-loss surgery. My doctor recommended it to ensure I get all the necessary nutrients, especially iron, which can be harder to absorb after surgery. But I'm curious to know if anyone else has tried these and if they've noticed a difference in their energy levels or overall health. I've heard mixed reviews about the side effects, so I'm interested in hearing your experiences and, importantly, if anyone has found these to be essential or if there are good alternatives.

I was really hesitant to start taking these because of all the side effects listed, but my doctor assured me that they're generally mild and manageable. I've had a few bouts of constipation, but nothing too bad. I just make sure to drink plenty of water and eat a high-fiber diet to keep things moving.
Anyone else have issues with the stool color change? It's kinda gross, but my doctor said it's normal with the iron content. Even better, it does not smell as bad as it does with other supplements.
I think it's great that these vitamins are designed specifically for people who've had weight-loss surgery. I feel like it gives me peace of mind knowing that I'm getting all the nutrients I need, especially since I've had some trouble absorbing them on my own. Definitely worth it to me!
Best thing I ever did was switching to these vitamins. I was having some major issues with iron deficiency after my surgery, but these have really helped
So I think it's worth noting that these vitamins are actually pretty expensive. I've been looking into cheaper alternatives. Has anyone found anything that works just as well without breaking the bank?
I've been taking them for a few months now, and honestly, they've made a big difference in how I feel. One of the biggest changes I've noticed is that I don't get tired as easily, and my energy levels have stayed pretty consistent. The only downside is the occasional upset stomach, but it's a small price to pay for how much better I feel overall. Just remember to take them with food or you might experience some severe stomach pain.
