I've been using Basaglar Tempo 100u/ml Pen Inj, 3ml for a few months now, and I've had a mixed experience. It's helped stabilize my blood sugar levels, but I've had some side effects, like irritation at the injection site and a bit of weight gain. I'm curious to hear from others who have used it. What side effects have you experienced? How have you managed them? And how does it compare to other long-acting insulins? I've heard some people say it's better than Lantus, but I'm not sure if that's just anecdotal. Any insights would be really appreciated!

I've had a similar experience with Basaglar. It's helped control my blood sugar, but the side effects are a pain. Anyone else feel like they're constantly adjusting their dose?

Another thing to consider is the cost. Basaglar can be pricey, depending on your insurance. If you're feeling the pinch, it might be worth talking to your healthcare provider about alternatives or financial assistance options.

I've been on Basaglar for a year and it's been a game-changer for my blood sugar control. No major side effects here, just a bit of injection site irritation that goes away quickly. Definitely worth it for the stability it provides.

Be careful with the injection sites. I noticed a few lumps after a while, but rotating the sites helped clear them up. Also, make sure to store it correctly—it's temperature-sensitive.

I switched from Lantus to Basaglar and noticed a big difference. Basaglar seemed to keep my blood sugar more stable overnight. However, I did experience some weight gain, which was disappointing. I've been working on adjusting my diet to combat that.

It’s also important to monitor blood sugar levels regularly. Sometimes the side effects can be managed better with adjustments to your diet and exercise routine, along with your insulin dose.

Side effects are a bummer, but it’s important to remember that everyone’s body reacts differently. What works for one person might not for another.

Avoid high blood sugars and managing insulin sensitivity better takes a lot of trial and error.

I’ve had some issues with low blood sugar, especially in the middle of the night. It’s a bit scary waking up to sweating and shaking. I’ve had to adjust my dose and timing to avoid that.
