I was prescribed Furadantin 25mg/5ml Oral Susp for a UTI a few weeks ago. Everything seemed fine at first, but then I started experiencing some pretty scary side effects. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I think it's important for others to know about this. I had some really bad headaches, stomach pain, and even some tingling sensations in my feet. I thought it was just a normal reaction, but then I started looking into it and realized these could be serious symptoms. I'm really glad I looked it up because I found out that these side effects could be signs of a severe nerve problem. I stopped taking the medication and contacted my doctor immediately. He told me that if I had continued, I might have risked developing permanent nerve damage. Now I'm on a different antibiotic and feeling much better. I'm just so relieved I caught it in time.

I've had some pretty bad side effects with antibiotics before. I think it's just important to listen to your body and pay attention to any changes. If something doesn't feel right, it's always better to check with your doctor.

That's really scary. I had no idea urine could turn brown. I think I would've freaked out just like you did. I'm glad you're okay now, though. Furadantin can be really effective, but it sounds like it's not worth the risk for some people.

This is terrifying. I was just prescribed Furadantin and now I'm not sure what to do. Should I stop taking it immediately or talk to my doctor first? I don't want to risk it, but I also don't want to stop treatment for my UTI.

I had to stop taking Furadantin because it was causing me to break out in hives. I was itching like crazy. I had to go to the ER to get a shot of Benadryl. I'll never take that stuff again.

Have you tried any home remedies for UTIs? I usually combine antibiotics with cranberry juice and it helps a lot. But honestly, I wouldn't advise anyone to take Furadantin. It's just too risky.

You should definitely talk to your doctor first. Stopping your medication suddenly could make your UTI worse. Just be sure to mention all the side effects you're experiencing and see what they recommend. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

I had no idea Furadantin could cause such severe side effects. I took it a few years ago for a UTI and never had any issues, but now I'm wondering if I was just lucky. I'll definitely be more cautious next time.

I had no idea Furadantin could cause side effects. I guess it's just important to remember that everyone is different. We all respond differently to medications and could have different reactions.
