I'll be undergoing a minor surgery soon and my doctor suggested Bupivacaine 0.75% Inj, 10ml. It's supposed to numb the area and make the whole process easier, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. I've heard it can cause some serious issues, but I haven't found many personal accounts online. Has anyone here had experience with this anesthetic? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. What were the side effects like? How long did they last? Did you have any complications? Any insights would be greatly appreciated as I try to gather as much information as possible before my procedure. I've read a lot of medical jargon about acidosis, methemoglobinemia but I'd like to know how it feels for the average person to deal with the side effects of a Bupivacaine 0.75% injection.

My experience with Bupivacaine was okay, nothing special. I had it for a minor surgery and it was effective, but I did feel a bit dizzy and light-headed afterwards. I felt it was worth it to go through that instead of feeling everything..

I've had Bupivacaine for a hernia surgery and while it was effective in numbing the area, I experienced some pretty intense shivering and sweating afterwards. It was weird, but my doctor assured me it was a normal reaction and it went away after a few hours.

I saw some guy at the gym freaking out he thought he was having a heart attack after getting a bupivacaine injection. Turns out it was just a bad reaction to the medication. It was scary to watch.

I had a really bad experience with Bupivacaine. I had a spinal injection and ended up with long-lasting numbness and tingling in my lower body. It lasted for a few weeks and it was incredibly uncomfortable. I would recommend doing a lot of research, but also talk to a medical professional before making a decision.

Bupivacaine saved my life. I overdosed on my antidepressants and the doctors couldn't operate due to the risk of seizures.. However, they injected me with Bupivacaine and pumped my stomach. It was the best and worst day of my life. Thank god for local anesthetics.

I had Bupivacaine during childbirth and it was a game-changer. I didn't feel any pain during the procedure, but I did experience some itching and redness at the injection site. It was a bit uncomfortable, but overall, it was worth it. I think people should just talk to their doctor before deciding, talking to random people on the internet can't replace that.

Bupivacaine can be a lifesaver, but it's important to be aware of the potential side effects. I've had it a few times and never had any issues. I've seen worse side effects from plain old lidocaine.

I had a spinal injection with Bupivacaine and ended up with a bad case of back pain. It was so bad I was laying in a hospital bed for days. I thought I was the only one who had this happen.

I had Bupivacaine for a C-section and it worked wonders. I didn't feel any pain during the procedure, but I did experience some nausea afterwards. Nothing too serious though.
