I've been taking Cal-Gest 500mg Chewable Tablets for a few months now, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer for my heartburn issues. I've always had trouble with acid indigestion, especially after big meals, and these tablets have helped neutralize the acid so much faster than anything else I've tried. They work quickly to relieve my symptoms, and I've even noticed a bit of an improvement in my bone health since calcium is essential for maintaining strong bones. It's a win-win in my book. However, I did encounter some constipation as a side effect, which is a bit of a bummer because I know someone else who has had a similar experience, so I wanted to see what others out there have to say about it. Have any of you experienced any side effects, or have you found any tricks to manage them? I'm just curious to know if others have had similar experiences with this medication and whether they’ve found any strategies to cope with the cons.

I take the same dose but with a different brand. It’s called Os-Cal 500. I don’t have any side effects and my bones feel healthy, but maybe it’s just a placebo.

It's important to remember that everyone's body reacts differently to medication. What works for one person might not work for another. If you're experiencing side effects, definitely talk to your doctor. And it’s not really a big deal to try something else if this doesn’t work.

Has anyone had an allergic reaction to this stuff? I've had a few bad reactions to medications in the past, so I'm always cautious. And yes, the people in the warning section are talking about a rash and breathing problems but it's still scary to think about.

I've had some issues with constipation, and I think it might be related to taking these tablets. I’ll try taking some fiber supplements to see if it helps. Is fiber good for constipation?
