I was prescribed Cefprozil 250mg Tablets for a sinus infection, and while it seems to be working, I'm worried about the potential side effects. I've read about the rare but serious issues like CDAD and seizures, which is scary. Has anyone else taken this and experienced any adverse reactions? I've been mostly fine but have had some mild diarrhea. Is this normal, or should I be concerned? Also, does anyone know if it's okay to take with food and if food can minimize side effects. I'd appreciate any insights or advice!

Stay away from dairy if u can. It messes with the effectiveness of the antibiotic. Take it with food, but not dairy.

Be careful with antibiotics in general. They can mess up your gut flora something fierce. Make sure to finish your course and consider taking probiotics to restore your gut health.

If you're worried, just call your doctor, that's what they are there for. They can put your mind at ease and talk you through anything you're concerned about. That's what I did and I feel much better knowing what to look out for.

I had some bad stomach upset with Cefprozil, but nothing that couldn't be handled with some Pepto-Bismol. It's pretty normal to have some stomach issues with antibiotics; just keep an eye on it.

I took Cefprozil for a throat infection last year and had no issues at all. I did take it with food, so maybe that helped. Don't let the side effects scare you too much; they're rare. But definitely listen to your body and if something feels off, talk to your doctor.

Don't worry! It's very common to have some diarrhea, but be careful if it's severe. I had a friend who had to go to the ER for hers. It can be serious so it's better to do what the doctor says and contact them if it gets worse.

Always finish the full course of antibiotics, even if you feel better. If you stop early, you might not kill all the bacteria and they could come back stronger.
