I've recently been prescribed Chlorpromazine 30mg/ml Concent Liq for schizophrenia, and I'm wondering if anyone else has taken this medication. I want to know about the side effects in detail. The possible side effects on the leaflet are extensive, and I'm a bit worried. Has anyone else experienced any of the urgent side effects? Medication has been a roller coaster, and I'm curious about the other experiences out there. Any advice on how to manage these potential side effects would be greatly appreciated as well.

Does anyone know if the side effects get better over time, or is it just something you have to deal with for the duration of the treatment?

I had a really bad reaction to it. I ended up with severe muscle stiffness and a horrible fever. It was terrifying. Make sure you keep an eye out for those symptoms. I had to switch meds and have been better ever since.

Did your doctor tell you about the risk of tardive dyskinesia? I had no idea until I was already on it. It's really scary thinking about those involuntary movements.

I've been on it for years and thankfully haven't experienced any of the really scary side effects. Just some dry mouth and dizziness. It's worked really well for me, though, so it's worth it.

I had weird changes in vision. I remember going to the doctor and they were super concerned. They told me it can be a sign of a more serious issue.

I’ve found that taking the medication with food really helps with the stomach upset. Maybe that could help some of you out there.

I had to stop taking it because of the tremors. It was unbearable. I couldn’t even hold a cup of coffee without spilling it. I wish I had known about the possibility of tremors before starting.
