I've been taking Cimetidine 300mg Tablets for a few months now to manage my ulcers. Overall, it's been helpful, but I've had some weird side effects. I've been getting a strange itch on my arms and it's hard to know if it's just a coincidence or something to do with the medication. I've been reading about the serious side effects, so I'm hoping it's just a coincidence. Has anyone else had weird side effects or know how to manage more commonly reported side effects? I looked at the FDA's reporting site and found some interesting data, but nothing that matched my exact symptoms. Does anyone have advice on what to do when you're not sure if your side effects are worth mentioning to your doctor? I've also called my doctor a few times, but the office isn't always immediately helpful for my questions. I know I should trust the professionals, but it can be hard to just ask questions that might sound silly. Thankfully, I haven't had any allergy symptoms yet, but if I did, I know I'd head to the ER without hesitation. Someone I know had a bad reaction to a different medication, and it was scary. At least with this drug, I know I can call the FDA if I have side effects that need to be reported.

I have never had a side effect from Cimetidine, but I did have a bad experience with a different medication. It caused my breast size to increase. It was very alarming and even embarrassing.

For anyone having serious side effects, consider using the FDA's MedWatch system. It's super handy and it helps keep track of adverse effects. I filed a report when I had abnormal urine and the doctor didn't know what to do. They told me that it was likely not the drug, but I wasn't convinced. It's worth reporting if you feel like something's wrong. They might not get back to you, but it helps keep the records up to date.

I've been experiencing some confusion and mood changes since I started taking Cimetidine. It's like I'm not myself, but I can't explain it. Is this a known side effect? I don't want to complain to my doctor about something that might not be serious, but it's really bothering me. Has anyone had this happen to them?

I’ve had some weird side effects where I thought I was hallucinating, but doctors didn't know what to do. It only happened once at a high dose.

I think the worst side effect I had was that I couldn't think clearly. It was super hard to focus on work, and I felt like I was in a fog. What if I did have a bad reaction but didn't know it? I'm so worried now and don't know if I should stop the medication. The doctor won't talk to me, and their nurse is very unhelpful, but I don't want to quit the medication. I can't deal with an ulcer flare up.

You should really talk to your doctor and not just look up symptoms online. Doctors, nurses, and pharmacists have to go through medical school, they know more than online forums.

I'm lucky that the only side effect I've had is a lot of itching. I've just started taking Cimetidine, so I don't know if it's a side effect or something else. I can't figure out how to manage the itching, any tips? My doctor didn't know what to do.

It's weird, I think my mood swings have gotten better since I started Cimetidine. I hope it's not just a placebo effect, like my doctor suggested. Could mood swings be a side effect?

I had some really bad tummy issues with this medication. I can't wait to get off it.

I even asked my pharmacist about these side effects, but they didn't know much.
