I've been using Clindamycin/BPO 1.2-5% Gel for about six months now, and I've seen a noticeable improvement in my acne. However, I've also experienced some side effects that I wasn't prepared for. I was hoping to get some insights from others who might have had similar experiences or any tips to mitigate these issues. The gel has definitely helped reduce the number of breakouts, but the local irritation (burning and itching) can be quite uncomfortable. I've also had a few episodes of severe diarrhea, which was pretty scary. I didn't have any of the severe side effects mentioned, but I am still wanting to talk to my doctor about these issues in more detail. Has anyone else dealt with these problems? I wanted to know more about the long-term effects, since I'm not sure if I should continue using this product. Any advice or experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried several different acne treatments, and this one has been the most effective for me so far. It's a bit drying, but the benefits outweigh the side effects. Stick to a good skincare routine and you should be okay. I've been fine for about 8 months now.

I wish someone had told me about the potential for severe side effects. I wish the warnings were more prominent. I ended up in the ER with severe stomach cramps and diarrhea. It was terrifying. I think the doctor should have warned me about these side effects before I started using this product.

I had the same issue with severe diarrhea. I stopped using it for a week and then started again slowly. It seems to be better now, but I'm still cautious. Also, make sure to moisturize well, as the drying can be intense.

I've had good luck with this gel, but I did switch to a different moisturizer that specifically says it's for acne-prone skin. It helped with the dryness and irritation a lot.

If you're having any digestive issues, stop using it immediately and call your doctor. It's not worth the risk. I had mild stomach pain at first but it escalated quickly. I did not realize how serious these side effects can be.
