I was prescribed Risedronate Sod 35mg to strengthen my bones. It's supposed to reduce the risk of fractures, but the long list of potential side effects has me worried. I haven't started taking it yet, but there's some information about severe reactions - allergic reactions, low calcium levels, and even jawbone problems. Has anyone else had any experiences with this medication? Do the side effects go away after a while or are they ongoing? I'm also concerned about the long-term use and whether there are any specific precautions I should take..

Definitely worth discussing with your doctor. I went through the same thing, and it turned out that the medication wasn't right for me. I ended up switching to a different one that worked better and had fewer side effects. Just make sure you communicate openly with your doctor about any concerns you have.

I took a similar medication for a while and had to switch because of the side effects. It's annoying because it takes some time to find out how your body reacts to any new meds. That's why I always start with lower doses and increase gradually. If you have any concerns, just talk to your doctor.

I just started taking Risedronate, and I've had some really weird muscle cramps, especially at night. It’s been really tough to deal with, but I'm hoping it gets better with time.

I've been taking Risedronate for a few months now, and the only side effect I've noticed is a bit of an upset stomach sometimes. I just make sure to take it on an empty stomach and with plenty of water. It seems to help.
