Cosentyx 150mg/ml Injection: My Experience, Side Effects, and Tips for Managing Psoriasis
I've been using Cosentyx (secukinumab) 150mg/ml for about six months now to manage my psoriasis, it's an injection under the skin that works by blocking IL-17A. Overall, I've had a positive experience with it, but I wanted to share my story and hear from others who have used this medication. I've found that the injections are relatively easy to do at home, but the mental hurdle of giving yourself a shot takes some getting used to. Has anyone else had trouble with this?
I've also noticed some side effects like nose or throat irritation, and a few episodes of diarrhea, but nothing too severe. I've been lucky to avoid any of the more serious side effects like signs of infection or severe skin problems, so that's a plus. I've heard from others that they've had issues like a common cold, have any of you experienced similar?
I've found that the most important thing is to be consistent with the injections and to stay in close contact with my doctor. I also keep my skin moisturized to help with any dryness or irritation. I take this medicine in conjunction with others to help with flare ups, has anyone else used Cosentyx alongside other medications?
If you're considering Cosentyx or just want to share your experiences, feel free to chime in!

I wish I could say the same. I had to stop taking Cosentyx because of severe headaches and fatigue. I'm not sure if it was the medication or something else, but it was pretty miserable.
I had a really bad reaction to my first injection, and I thought I was going to pass out. I was sweating like crazy and felt really dizzy. I had to call my doctor and I ended up having to be treated at the hospital. I wish I'd had more information about that side effect before I started taking it.
Has anyone else had issues with injection site reactions? I've been getting these weird red bumps at the injection site, and they're pretty uncomfortable.
I've had really good results with the injection and I'm just hoping that the drug stays on the market. I've had to switch meds before and the new ones didn't work as well as this.
I've been on Cosentyx for a year now, and it's been a game-changer for my psoriatic arthritis. The injections are a bit annoying, but the improvement in my joints and skin is worth it. I've had some mild side effects like diarrhea, but nothing I can't handle. I did have a bad reaction to one of the injections that I thought was a sign of infection, but it turned out to be just a local reaction.
