I was recently prescribed Cromolyn Sod 100/5ml Oralconc 5ml for my systemic mastocytosis. I've been on it for a few weeks now, and while it seems to be helping with my symptoms, I have some concerns and questions. Has anyone else used this medication? How have your experiences been? I would especially love to hear from anyone who has had similar side effects, specifically breathing issues, as I have a family history of asthma and am worried this could be a risk factor for me. The doctor gave me a lot of information, but I'm curious to know more about the long-term effects and if anyone has managed their side effects well.

Additionally, I'm wondering if anyone has tried taking this medication with other treatments, like antihistamines or allergy shots, and how that worked out. Any advice or personal stories would be super helpful as I navigate this new treatment plan!

I started using Cromolyn Sod 100/5ml Oralconc 5ml a few months ago, and while it's helped with my symptoms, I've had some concerning side effects. I experienced swelling around my mouth and lips a couple of times, which was scary. I contacted my doctor immediately, and they suggested stopping the medication for a week to see if the symptoms persist—so far, so good. I'm considering switching to a different treatment plan.

Cromolyn Sod? Anyone know if it's safe to be on this long term? I'm worried about side effects. Do you think my doctor would know if there’s a better treatment for me?

I took Cromolyn Sod for a while, and it just didn't agree with me. Ended up switching to a different medication, and I feel so much better. It's all about finding what works for you.

I've been using Cromolyn Sod for a few years now, and it's been a lifesaver for my systemic mastocytosis. I haven't experienced any major side effects, but I do make sure to drink plenty of water and take it with food to minimize any stomach discomfort. I think it's worth a shot if you're suffering from allergies, but definitely talk to your doctor first and monitor your progress.

What's the dosage for you folks. My doctor discussed 50ml x 3 times a day. Seemed high to me

Cromolyn Sod has really helped me with my allergies, but I do get some diarrhea now and then. I think it helps to be proactive and know the possible side effects if you're thinking about trying it. If you're worried, keep a food journal and track your symptoms.

I've had mast cell issues in the past, and it sounds like you're going through a lot. Don't forget to take care of your mental health as well as your physical health. This stuff can be tough!

I know it's not the most fun topic, but understanding the potential side effects of Cromolyn Sod made me feel more prepared and less anxious about starting the treatment, so I would not worry too much. Report any issues asap if you feel you are having any serious issues with breathing or have any skin reactions that didn't exist before starting the drug.

I've been on Cromolyn Sod for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for my food allergies. No more stomach pain or flushing after meals! But I did have a bit of diarrhea at the start, which was annoying. I just made sure to stay hydrated, and it went away after a week.
