I've recently been prescribed Sandimmune 50mg/ml for my new kidney, and I'm a bit worried about the side effects. Has anyone else been on this and can share their experiences? I'm especially concerned about the serious side effects like liver problems and brain conditions mentioned in the documentation. Also, how many of you have experienced more common side effects like stomach pain or diarrhea, and how did you manage them? I want to be prepared and know what signs to watch out for.

I had to deal with some swelling and shaking feeling, which was really uncomfortable, but once I told my doctor they immediately adjusted the dosage, and it disappeared. Just shows you how important it is to stay in touch with your doctor.

I had to take Sandimmune for a while after my heart transplant, and the most annoying side effect for me was the constant dizziness. It made it hard to do some daily activities, but my doctor adjusted the dosage and it got better. Just make sure you loop your doctor in on any side effects you experience.

I got prescribed this drug and the information scared me, but my doctor explained everything so well, and I'm now on the right medication for me. Just stay in contact with your medical team, they know best.

I had to go to the ER once because I felt extremely tired and weak, turns out it was a sign of kidney problems. But my doctor and nurses were on it right away and got my levels back to normal. Moral of the story: don’t ignore these signs.

If anyone experiences any of the brain-related side effects, please get immediate medical help. It’s not something to mess with—far too dangerous to ignore.
