I have recently been prescribed Dimethyl Fumarate 240mg DR Capsules for my relapsing form of multiple sclerosis. I've done some research, and it seems like it can really help slow down the progression of MS and reduce the frequency of relapses by protecting nerve cells and reducing inflammation. However, the possible side effects are quite concerning. Has anyone else here had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your journey and any tips you might have.

Anyone else feel like the pill size is huge? It gets stuck in my throat every time.

Be prepared for the flushing. It feels like your face is on fire. But honestly, it's better than the MS attacks. I've been on it for 6 months and so far, so good.

I've been on Dimethyl Fumarate for about a year now. The flushing can be intense, especially in the beginning. But honestly if I can put up with a bit of redness I'd rather have that than the MS attacks.

I had a really bad reaction to Dimethyl Fumarate. Ended up in the ER with severe stomach pain and bloody diarrhea. Not worth the risk for me.

Be careful with the diarrhea—it can be pretty severe. Make sure you stay hydrated and talk to your doctor if it gets too bad.

This medication is a godsend. I haven't had a relapse in months. Just make sure to keep an eye out for any signs of PML—it's scary stuff but so rare.
