I've always used Triple Antibiotic Ointment on minor cuts and scrapes, but I've never really thought about the side effects. One of my friends told me to avoid it because of potential reactions. Does anyone else have experience with it? Is it effective, and what are the side effects I should be aware of? It's great for preventing infection, but I want to know if there are any risks I should be aware of.

I've used it for years and never had any issues. It's great for keeping cuts clean.

I've always used it on burns too. It seems to help a lot. I had a friend who had a bad reaction to it though. She broke out in a rash. Crazy!

I had a really bad reaction to it once. I broke out in hives and had to go to the ER. It was scary. I'll never use it again.

I think it's really important to read the side effects on the box. I had no idea there were so many things to look out for. Thanks for posting this! But do you think there is anything better than this? I'm having a hard time finding anything better than this to use.

I always keep some in the house for my kids. They're always getting scrapes and cuts. I've never had an issue, but it's good to know what to look out for. I wonder if there are any better alternatives or side effects though.

I've heard that some people are allergic to the neomycin in it. If you have a reaction, it might be worth trying a different ointment like bacitracin or polysporin. Those are single-antibiotic but can work well for most minor cuts and scrapes.

I think it's overkill for most minor cuts. A little hydrogen peroxide and a bandage usually do the trick for me.
