I've been prescribed Drospirenone/Ethy EST 3/0.02mg T 28 for birth control and to help with my acne and PMDD. I'm glad the doctor explained that it prevents ovulation, but I'm a bit concerned about the possible side effects, especially the rare but serious ones. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? How did you handle any side effects you experienced? I'm hoping to hear some positive stories and get some advice on what to keep an eye out for.

I got lucky and haven't had any serious side effects, but I do take the pill at the same time every day because I've heard that can make a difference.

I was really worried about the blood clot stuff, but my doctor reassured me that it's rare. She also said to call right away if I notice any trouble with my eyesight or blurry vision. Sticking to my routine of taking the pill every day has helped a lot.

I had some bad headaches and nausea at first, but they went away after a couple of weeks. I think it was all just my body adjusting to the hormones. Definitely worth sticking it out if you can.

I really appreciate that this pill helped my acne, but I've gained some weight and I'm not sure if it's worth it. I'm going to talk to my doctor about switching to something a bit safer and talk about the results. It’s something to think about.
