I was recently prescribed Effient 10mg Tablets (Prasugrel) after having a stent placed in my artery. After reading about the potential side effects, my wife and I are concerned and have some questions. Has anyone else experienced significant side effects from this medication? I've heard that the risk of bleeding is a concern, but I'm also worried about other possible side effects like chest pain or allergic reactions. I went on to say, how many of you have taken this medication, and what was your experience? Interestingly, I didn't notice any severe symptoms, but I have had some mild headaches and back pain, which I'm trying to figure out. How did the doctors help you manage the side effects? Thanks in advance for your input!

Anyone else feel like they have to be overly cautious with everything they do? I mean, I've been avoiding contact sports and anything that could cause a cut. Dinner parties where raw fish are cuttable and dangerous? Maybe you should warn your host about your medication and ask for a different protein. I'm not joking it's a thing.

Allergic reactions can be scary, but it's important to remember that these side effects are rare. My dad was on Effient and had no issues at all. Just make sure you're in regular contact with your doctor and report any unusual symptoms right away. It's good to be cautious, but try not to worry too much. Ask your doctor specific questions about how to manage even the smallest symptom.

I've been on Effient for about a year now, and while I haven't had any major issues, I did experience some mild headaches at first. My doctor recommended taking over-the-counter pain relievers, and that seemed to help. As for the bleeding risk, I haven't had any problems, but I'm extra careful with activities that could cause injury. It's definitely a balancing act, but so far, the benefits seem to outweigh the risks.

The bleeding risk is real, but it's managed with regular check-ups and being mindful. Personally, I find that low-impact exercise like walking or swimming helps keep my overall health in check. I also make sure to eat a balanced diet and avoid activities that could increase my risk of injury. My doctor has been a great resource for tips and advice on how to manage my health while on Effient.

Man, I heard about the risks of bleeding. Make sure you have some extra bandages and ointments around the house. Now I'm scared to do basic activities like chopping vegetables.

I was on this medication for a few months and actually didn't experience any side effects at all. But I did have a friend who had issues with allergic reactions, so I always kept an eye on that. Definitely talk to your doctor and take precautions. Lay off hard activity for awhile to reduce any risk of injury.

I had a similar experience with stent placement and was prescribed Effient. The first few weeks were rough with some back pain, but it subsided. I also had to be mindful of my diet to manage the risk of bleeding. My nutritionalist recommended a diet rich in iron and vitamins to support blood health. It's been a few months now, and I'm feeling much better.
