I was recently diagnosed with scabies and prescribed Elimite 5% Cream 60gm. The experience was, well, not fun, but the cream worked well. I applied it to my skin as directed, left it on for 8-14 hours (I chose overnight because it seemed more convenient), and then washed it off. The itching stopped pretty quickly, which was a huge relief. However, I did experience some mild burning and stinging while the cream was on my skin, which was a bit uncomfortable. I also read that some people can have severe allergic reactions or eye irritation, so I made sure to be very careful. I just wanted to share my experience and any tips or advice anyone might have, and warnings to look out for!

I had a rough time with Elimite too. The burning sensation was really bad for me, but it did the job. Just be prepared for some discomfort.

Did anyone else have a reaction to the cream itself? I noticed a rash right after applying it and it became quite itchy. It's possible that I'm just sensitive to it.

I'm glad you mentioned the allergic reactions. I had no idea those could be so severe. I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for any of those symptoms.

I used Elimite a few years ago and it worked like a charm. My doctor told me to apply it from head to toe, which seemed overkill, but it definitely worked. Just make sure to do it right and follow the instructions carefully.

Elimite is a lifesaver, but the application is a pain. Make sure to cover every inch of skin, even places that don't itch. The mites can be sneaky and hide out in unexpected spots. And for the love of god, don't forget your fingernails and toenails! They love to burrow under there.

I had to treat my whole family because scabies is highly contagious. It was a nightmare, but Elimite did the trick for all of us. Just make sure everyone follows the instructions to the letter.

Be careful not to get it in your eyes! I accidentally got a little on my eyelid and it stung like hell. Definitely not something you want to mess around with.

Does anyone know if you can use Elimite if you're pregnant? I'm pregnant and just got diagnosed and I'm super worried.

I was worried about the side effects, but I didn't have any issues at all. Just make sure to wash your hands thoroughly after applying it and to avoid touching your face. It can be a bit messy, so be prepared with some old towels or clothing.
